UFC 243 Melbourne tickets on sale to public August 16

A UFC pay-per-view blockbuster returns to Melbourne this October with a middleweight title fight between champion, Australian based Robert Whittaker and interim champion, New Zealand based Israel Adesanya, headlining UFC 243.

The event will take place October 6 at Marvel Stadium (formerly named Etihad Stadium). The promotion has previously broken the UFC record at the same stadium with 56,214 attending UFC 193 back in 2015, where Ronda Rousey was spectacularly knocked out by Holly Holm in the headlining fight.

Tickets for UFC 243 are scheduled to go on sale to the general public on Friday, August 16 and as is the norm, pre-sale tickets are expected to be announced for UFC Fight Club members and subscribers to the UFC newsletter. Register here.

As well as feature middleweight title fight, fights have been reported for locals Nadia Kassem, Tai Tuivasa, Megan Anderson, Luke Jumeau and Justin Tafa who makes his UFC debut.
